About Omnes Arts Circle

A note from Taisha, Owner & Founder of Omnes Arts Circle...

Owning an arts centre has been a long time dream of mine, and with my background, it felt like a no-brainer to start with a music studio, and build from there. Soon after completing my Master's degree, I moved back to my hometown of Perth to open The Music Circle in July of 2016. What started as a small studio in my little house, with only me teaching piano and voice, grew quickly to a studio of over 100 weekly students, six teachers, a youth choir, preschool classes, and offerings in piano, voice, guitar, and ukulele both at the studio and in four elementary schools in surrounding communities.

In July 2018, the company name changed to Omnes Arts Circle. “Omnes” (pronounced Omm-ness) means “all” in Latin, which fits because we’ve expanded our programming to encompass The Music Circle, The Dance Circle, and The Theatre Circle. That’s right: we've brought the trifecta of performing arts together under one roof in Omnes Arts Circle!

These changes were all made possible after purchasing Arts in Motion Perth School of Dance from Ms. Svetlana Timtsenko. The Omnes studio is in Arts in Motion’s old location in the Old Perth Shoe Factory. The Dance Circle continues with Arts in Motion’s usual programming, and has added lots of new classes too! We now offer ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, hip hop, musical theatre, tap, acro, as well as creative movement and Discover Dance for our youngest dancers! Miss Colleen Putzig is our Director of Dance, teaching many of these classes, and leading the way in our year-end show!

The Music Circle continues with current music offerings. We still provide private lessons in our studio, and we're hoping to be able to return to schools soon! We currently offer lessons in piano, voice, guitar, ukulele, and violin - and we’re excited to be adding even more music classes as our studio expands!

The only thing that is completely new is The Theatre Circle. I’m thrilled to say that we’re now offering a variety of group classes for children of various ages. We explore theatre techniques, movement, character, and much more, and are working towards some fun performance opportunities!

I am absolutely overcome when I think of how far this business has come in such a short time, and this couldn’t have happened without my dedicated teachers and students. When I think about all the people we can now reach through the new studio, I know the decision to expand was worthwhile!

Thank you all for your endless support! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me directly. I would be happy to answer any of your inquiries!

Yours in arts education,

Taisha Lesser
